My dear Beryl,
I am sorry that you have had to wait such a time for your Unit Still, but here it is - don't we look a bright and happy looking crowd!
I met your Miss Pargiter at a meeting last night - as you say she seems very charming and she siad she was extremely pleased with you! Said I was to come down anytime you like to ask me and have lunch, which I though was most kind of her. I shall look forward to this.

I enclose your hanky I borrowed some time ago.'
